Get Soft Silky Hair

Lets face it, we all want beautiful soft, smooth silky hair. But we never know what these words or products really mean or if the ever deliver what they promise.  I want to share with you what I'm using at the moment, what I suggest, and hy these products are amazing!

1. Herbal Essence Hello Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner from Clairol
These popular drugstore products promise shiny, soft, hydrated hair.  They are Serum infused and contain Hawaiian coconut and  orchid extract.  They describe it as a drink for your hair.  The smell is delicious.  It's smells like you'd hope a shampoo/ conditioner to smell with a light fruity scent as well.  the packaging is beautiful as well.  I love the colors and graphics used.  The product does as promised. my hair feels really nice and I believe this has helped.  My suggestion is to make sure you don't shampoo/ condition every single day.  as gross as it sounds you really need to.  Washing your hair too much can strip your hair of the good oils essential for keeping it healthy.   Remember shampoo is still a chemical and over doing it can kill your hair.  Although I like the product and think its a good buy for your money, It contains sulfate (as many drugstore brands do) which isn't good for your hair especially if its been dyed or processed in any way.  I suggest (If you can afford it) buying a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner from your hairstylist.  Those products really are best for your hair, otherwise professionals wouldn't use them.

2. Renewing  Moroccan Argan Oil by Organix
This hair mask promises to hydrate your hair and create smooth and supple hair.  It also promises to protect from heat and UV rays.  Argan oil is amazing for your hair.  its one of those "good oils" for your hair.  this stuff smells AMAZING and the packaging is so cute.  It reminds me of Princess Jasmine.  Use once a week like a deep condition.  I suggest the Macadamia hair mask.  It smells twice as good but costs 5 times as much, so dollar wise this product may be more bang for your buck.

3. Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Renewal
This stuff IS an argan oil treatment.  It actually is just an oil.  It adds instant shine, protection and controls frizz.  I used to have hair extensions that got really ratty after a while.  This stuff was the ONLY thing that got them looking nice.  The bottle (which I love the colors of the Healthy Sexy line)  may be small but you can get so many uses out of it.  You only need very little to do a whole lot.  Ive had mine for 6 months now and its about 3/4 used up.  The only down side is that it is an oil and leaves your hands feeling slick after use, but that really isn't a big deal. I  100% love this stuff!

4.  Macadamia Natural Oil Healing Oil Spray

Talk about cute packaging!  I want this entire line!  This oil promises the same as the rest, it heals, shines and protects.  It includes argan and macadamia oil.  unlike the Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Renewal this comes in a spray so no oily hands!  And since it's such a light mist its really good for thin hair.  It has an odd, yet nice smell to it.  It is in a glass bottle which is really nice.  Plastic bottles tend to seep chemicals into the product, so many nice companies like to use glass to prevent and Chemicals to interfere with there products.   I recommend the heck out of this! :)

5. Biotin
This one is what I would recommend the most.  Biotin helps strengthen your hair, nails and skin.  It also helps with hair and nail growth.  This is a vitamin and not really a hair product but I found it an important step in hair care.  There really isn't a reason not to use this.  GO GET SOME NOW!

DIY Photo Heart

I love crafts.  If I could I would spend my entire paycheck at the crafts store (sometimes I do haha).  I also love pictures.  Growing up my room was filled with pictures.  Every counter space had a frame and every wall had something on it.  That is why I wanted to get creative with it.  Now I just stuck mine to the wall, which I'll tell you how to do but I would suggest framing it.

What You Will Need:
1. For two hearts you need 52 pictures.
26 for each heart
18 of those are landscape
the other 34 are portrait
2. Frame of your choice. I suggest laying the pictures out and measuring before trying to choose. I wish I could tell you the size but I no longer have this on my wall and as I said I never framed it myself.
3. Scrapbook paper of your choice.
4. Cello tape

How To:
1. Layout the scrapbook paper the way you would like and secure it to the back of the frame.
2. I would start placing the pictures from the bottom to make sure it is aligned and centered
3. On the bottom you will place 1 portrait picture
4. Next level directly above it you will place 3 portrait pictures
5. Next level 3 landscape.
6. Above that 4 landscape
7. The next level will be 7 portrait
8. On the next level you will place 6 portrait with three on the left and three on the right with about the space of a landscape picture bare in between (I realize from what I'm saying this all sounds kind of weird and confusing but it wont be when you see the pictures. I'm just giving you the picture counts so you don't have to do it yourself.)
9. And above both of those three you will place one landscape picture.

Secure everything with cello tape or Elmers glue.  If you plan on doing this directly on the wall as I did just skip the first step and use cello tape.  Feel free to change it up! You could cut the edges to make the shape more prominent. Another thing you can do is go to Printstagr.am and order your pictures straight from your Instagram.  The sizing is different so you would be different so you would have to play around with the numbers.  That and you wouldn't have to mess with the landscape/portrait thing,  Let me know if you do this and how you like it! send me pictures of it as well and if you figure out frame size or Instagram picture numbers post it to me and I''l update this!

DIY Lip Scrub

If you're anything like me, you always have some kind of skin problem, but no cash to spend on expensive creams.  Don''t get me wrong I love my Burt's Bees and Carmex, but it can only moisturize your skin.  So how do you remove that nasty dead skin?  With your very own Lib Scrub!  The best thing is, you most likely already have these things in your home.

I would start off by scrubbing your lips with a dry tooth brush.  I did this before the scrub and it removed about half the skin.  Just move it in a circular motion for about a minute and make sure not to scrub to hard.. You don't want to make things worse by pulling the skin off.

Now for the scrub!

What you'll need:
1. A bowl to mix everything in
2. A spoon
3. Vaseline or Aquaphor
4. Sugar
5. Honey

!. Put the Aquaphor or Vaseline in the bowl.  This isn't an exact science but I used about a fourth of a table spoon .

2. Add about half a tablespoon of sugar

3.Add in a full tablespoon of honey

4. Mix until fully combined. This will make enough for two or three treatments. But you'll hopefully only need one.

Apply a liberal amount on your lips with your ring finger for about 3-4 minutes.  Once you are done wash it of with water and store the remainder of your product!  I love this scrub because its mostly natural, free ,and smells and tastes amazing!  I used it before bed and applied a very generous amount of Carmex afterwards.  My lips have haven't been this smooth in a very long time.  I used it about a week ago and have only used chap stick only 3 or 4 times since then and my lips are still in great condition.  Let me know how this works for you or if you've tried anything else that works. :)

Maybelline Color Whisper Review

Last week I went into my local drugstore to purchase some skin care products.  Of course this can not be done without checking out all of the make up products( I'm a girl it's part of our wiring haha.)  I was walking along when I noticed the Maybelline Color Whisper lipsticks.  I have seen a review by Missglamorazzi on Youtube and had to try the product out. All of the colors were so beautiful.  I had a hard time choosing between Petal Rebel, Orange Attitude, and Bare to Be Bold. I went with Orange Attitude because I have never tried an orange lip before and decided to go for it.

First of all the packaging was really pretty.  It's just so girly.  It's almost as if I'm proud to tote this around in my make up bag.  I love how the entire lid is the color of the product.  It's helpful to tell the difference between them if you have more than one.  And don't get me started on the font, It's so adorable I can barley handle it.

The product it self wasn't exactly what I thought it would be.  Apparently I need to read and pay attention better because the fact the product was called 'Color Whisper' wasn't enough of a clue to me that it wasn't a super pigmented product.  None-the-less it really is gorgeous. It has a lip gloss look with a lipstick feel.  It has an amazing shine and feels super moisturizing on the lips.  A lot of people compare it to Revlon's Lip Butters The colors are so soft, yet still noticeable. The Color Whisper Lipsticks aren't made with any heavy waxes or oils and you can definitely  feel it.  Over all I rate this product highly.  I recommend starting off with one of the pink colors and going from there. Hope this was helpful! Let me know what you think of it!

Sorry for the weird close up.  I have a beautiful
blemish on my chin and wanted to show the product
on the lips without grossing you guys out!
